2012 ASCPT Board Members Named
Russ Altman, MD, PhD, will be ASCPT’s 2012 President-Elect. He is a professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University. Since joining the Society in 2003, Dr. Altman has presented at several Annual Meetings and currently serves as a member of the CPT Editorial Board. He will also deliver the 2012 Abram’s Lecture. Dr. Altman will begin his term as President-Elect as of the March 2012 Annual Meeting.
Saskia de Wildt, MD, PhD, from the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care of Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital, and Malle Jurima-Romet, PhD, a Senior Director of Drug Development at Celerion, will assume At-Large Director positions on the ASCPT Board at the March 2012 Annual Meeting.

Laura J. Wozniak and Landry Kamdem Kamdem Named 2011 ASCPT Young Investigators
Laura Wozniak, MD, and Landry Kamdem Kamdem, PharmD, PhD, were named the recipients of the 2011 ASCPT Young Investigator Award. Dr. Wozniak is a trainee in the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her proposal entitled, "Development of Immune Profiles as Tools for Individualization of Immunosuppression in Pediatric Live Transplant Recipients," was selected by a committee of ASCPT members as the top fellow proposal submitted for the Young Investigator Award. Dr. Kamdem is a first year faculty member at the Harding University College of Pharmacy in Searcy, Arkansas. His proposal is entitled, "The Impact of UGT2B17 Genetic Polymorphisms on the Disposition and Action of Exemestane in Healthy Volunteers," and was selected as the top junior faculty proposal submitted for the Award. Dr. Wozniak and Dr. Kamdem will be recognized by the Society at the 2012 ASCPT Annual Meeting in National Harbor, Maryland.
