2016 CPT Webinar
Title: Implementing Pharmacogenetic Tests for Patient care using Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC®) Guidelines
Speaker: Mary V. Relling, PharmD, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
Description: Watch the first CPT webinar and listen to Mary V. Relling, PharmD discuss the freely available, peer-reviewed, updatable, and detailed gene/drug clinical practice CPIC guidelines that enable the translation of genetic laboratory test results into actionable prescribing decisions for specific drugs. Progress in the creation and use of CPIC guidelines were reviewed and examples of applying CPIC guidelines in clinical settings were provided.

History of CPT
The journal was founded in 1960 by Walter Modell to bring together high quality publications on problems in the evaluation of the actions and effects of drugs in humans.  At a time when clinical pharmacology was just being recognized as a discipline in medical science, CPT was the first journal devoted to the field of human pharmacotherapeutics.
