History of CPT
The journal was founded in 1960 by Walter Modell to bring together high quality publications on problems in the evaluation of the actions and effects of drugs in humans.  At a time when clinical pharmacology was just being recognized as a discipline in medical science, CPT was the first journal devoted to the field of human pharmacotherapeutics.
