NIH White Paper – Quantitative & Systems Pharmacology in the Post-genomic Era
In 2008 and 2010, the NIH hosted workshops to examine whether developing and utilizing quantitative, systems approaches to pharmacology research could potentially improve the success rate in drug discovery and development.  To address the opportunities, needs and challenges of the emerging discipline of quantitative and systems pharmacology, a committee of 2010 workshop participants developed the attached white paper, “Quantitative and Systems Pharmacology in the Post-genomic Era: New Approaches to Discovering Drugs and Understanding Therapeutic Mechanisms. The paper can be found here.

Pediatric Trials Network (PTN)
The Pediatric Trials Network (PTN) is an alliance of clinical research sites from around the U.S. that are cooperating in the design and conduct of pediatric clinical trials to improve health care for infants and children. The PTN is sponsored by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, which established it in response to the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act.

of genes on people's responses to a wide variety of medicines.

Pharmacogenomics of Membrane Transporters Database-contains information about genetic variants in membrane transporters.

"Principles of Clinical Pharmacology" Course sponsored by the National Institutes of Health 
Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
The course provides an introductory review of pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism and transport, pharmacogenetics, assessment of drug effects, drug therapy in special populations, and drug discovery and development.

UCSF-FDA Transportal-contains information about transporters important in drug development.
