Drug Safety (SAF) Scientific Section
Drug safety provides the methodology for a systematic, life-cycle approach to drug safety and surveillance, effectively characterizing a drug's safety profile through identification, assessment, mitigation, and ultimately prediction of safety risks. Included are all aspects of clinical and postmarketing drug safety, surveillance techniques and data mining, risk assessment/management, application of preclinical safety/toxicology to human studies, pharmacoepidemiology, and outcomes research.
