Welcome to the ASCPT Annual Meeting Website. 2007 Summary2007 Annual Meeting March 21-24 Anaheim Marriott Hotel Anaheim, CaliforniaWith more than 300 scientific poster presentations, two Featured Speakers, four State of the Art Lectures, numerous symposia, workshops, oral poster presentations and scientific exhibits, the ASCPT 2007 Annual Meeting was a resounding success! Held in Anaheim, California March 21-24, the meeting drew more than 1,200 registrants. Leading clinical pharmacologists from around the world gathered to present and discuss the latest scientific findings in the field of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics spanning the continuum of Drug Discovery, Development, Regulation, and Utilization (DDRU). In recognition of the 20th Anniversary of the Centre for Human Research at Leiden University (the Netherlands), a special session examining the evaluation of pharmacological effects in early phase drug trials in different therapeutic areas was offered. Another special multidisciplinary education session "Clinical Pharmacology Education: Challenges and Opportunities, the Road Ahead" featured a unique and diverse panel of experts to discuss clinical pharmacology education. A number of exciting special events highlighted the transformation of the newly improved CPT. Still devoted to publishing the most exciting advances in the field, CPT now offers far greater content and cutting-edge research for readers. New sections, imagery, editorial board and a new publisher will take readers on a journey to the forefront of the field. Events celebrating the new CPT included a reception to meet the new CPT Editorial Team, an invitation-only Journal Forum, and a reception and dinner for the CPT Editorial Board.
