ASCPT Member of the Month
 |
| Aziz Karim, PhD |
Introducing the ASCPT Member of the Month - a new forum to recognize and thank a member of ASCPT who has supported the Society's endeavors. Every month ASCPT will highlight ONE member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty! We hope you enjoy learning about your fellow members and always encourage your participation in Society events and activities.
ASCPT recognizes Dr. Karim as the November Member of the Month because he was the first ASCPT member to participate in Each One, Reach One - the 2004 ASCPT Member Get a Member Campaign. Almost immediately following the launch of the campaign, Dr. Karim nominated a colleague for membership in ASCPT. With Dr. Karim's help, ASCPT will continue to grow and by doing so, help strengthen the voice of clinical pharmacology.
When asked why membership in ASCPT is important, Dr. Karim says, "I have been contributing to the development of new drugs with novel mechanism of action for over 35 years. Drug development is a multidisciplinary science and expertise from various disciplines is essential for rational development and marketing approval of new drug molecules. We need to encourage young scientists from various disciplines to join ASCPT and make them realize the benefits and advantages of being an ASCPT member. I fully support ASCPT because it is a unique organization where a scientist can enhance his/her knowledge in all aspects of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics"
Thank you Dr. Karim for your support of ASCPT!
