ASCPT Member of the Month
ASCPT is proud to recognize Dr. Arthur Atkinson Jr. as the December Member of the Month. Dr. Atkinson earned this recognition because of long-time service and dedication to ASCPT. Dr. Atkinson has been a member of ASCPT for almost 25 years. Dr. Atkinson is a highly-respected member of ASCPT and we would like to thank him for all he does for ASCPT. When asked why he supports ASCPT, Dr. Atkinson states, "ASCPT deserves the support of everyone who either is or aspires to be a clinical pharmacologist. For many years, our Society has put on a scientifically outstanding annual meeting that also provides an unparalleled networking opportunity. More recently, ASCPT has moved energetically to become the custodian of the leading journal in our field, to sponsor a number of exciting and timely conferences, to become a distributor of teaching materials for our discipline, and to provide an informative website that not only chronicles Society activities but lists both training and job opportunities. I believe that the vigor and health of our Society is a tribute to its current leadership and is something that we all should appreciate, particularly given the uncertain support that our discipline currently receives from other sectors."
