SPEED MENTORING
THURSDAY, MARCH 22, 2018 at 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
Plan to attend the new and improved Speed Mentoring event, which has been reformatted for 2018. ASCPT recognizes that all members, regardless of career stage, have a unique perspective to share, and all members can benefit from peer-to-peer learning opportunities. Sign up for this session with registration if you’d like to be a mentee, or notify staff at meetings@ascpt.org if you’d like to serve in the mentor role. This event is a one-off opportunity for 1:1 consultation with other members. There are no conditions to serving in either role, and both experiences are sure to be rewarding!

TRAINEE BREAKFAST
FRIDAY, MARCH 23, 2018 at 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Students and trainees, come meet mid-career and senior scientists in academia, industry, regulatory, and consulting environments and discuss topics of your choice related to your current or future field of study. Have questions about what a day-in-the-life is like? Career possibilities? Skill sets you should focus on? Advantages and disadvantages of working in a specific area? Come get these and other questions answered in a relaxed, small group atmosphere.
If you are interested in mentoring, please contact meetings@ascpt.org.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT FOR EVERYONE
FRIDAY, MARCH 23, 2018 at 4:45 PM – 6:15 PM
In 2018, ASCPT will launch a brand new Career Development Webinar Series for members of all career stages, focused on a variety of issues that are important to clinical pharmacologists, translational scientists, and other scientists in the early phase drug discovery, development, regulatory, and utilization space. The Career Development for Everyone session at the Annual Meeting will kick off this new program. Enjoy a dynamic presentation on the importance of mentorship from all perspectives, followed by a panel discussion of ASCPT members from various sectors and career stages. Finally, make your voice heard by participating in a discussion to generate ideas for the new webinar series.

Thanks to the generosity of ASCPT donors, ASCPT is able to offer a limited number of Student/Trainee travel grants for the ASCPT 2018 Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL (March 21-24, 2018).

The amount of the grant is $500 towards travel costs.  Receiving this grant is contingent on attending the Annual Meeting. The recipients will receive a check in this amount following the meeting.

The deadline for grant applications has passed.

Recipients will be notified soon.

In order to be eligible for this grant you must be a current member of ASCPT and you must be presenting an abstract at the Annual Meeting. Presidential Trainee award recipients are not eligible for this grant.

Please contact Megan McBeath Hay at megan@ascpt.org or at 703.836.6981 ext. 107 if you have any questions.
