“I appreciate the opportunity that ASCPT provides new trainees to network with more senior colleagues in their field and the mentoring and career advice provided. I enjoy learning from online webinars and research in Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (CPT). I am pleased to join the ASCPT 2020 Annual Meeting in order to network with clinical pharmacologists from around the world and learn from the scientific program that will be presented in Houston!”

Increase the Impact of Your Next Paper Published in the ASCPT Family of Journals
ASCPT’s family of journals is now accepting video abstracts! These standalone videos are produced, posted, and linked to an article after publication and increase the impact of your paper.

According to Wiley, the publisher for all three ASCPT journals, articles that include a video abstract have a 447% higher altmetric attention score and had 111% more full text views in its online library. The videos are designed to be shared by authors through social media channels, on personal websites, in slide decks, and during conference presentations. They can also be emailed to colleagues, shared with press offices, and linked to grant applications.

A successful video abstract will succinctly introduce the topic of a paper, lay out the main conclusions and results, and discuss the importance and ramifications of the findings. While authors are welcome to create and submit their own video abstracts, Wiley has teamed up with Research Square to assist interested parties in crafting videos with professional production quality. For more information, visit https://authorservices.wiley.com/author-resources/Journal-Authors/Promotion/video-abstracts.html or contact any of our journal staff to inquire about adding a video abstract to your next publication in Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology, or Clinical and Translational Science.

Read Bottle of Lies and Join ASCPT for a Special Annual Meeting Session
ASCPT will welcome Katherine Eban, author of Bottle of Lies, for a special session at the Annual Meeting on Friday, March 20, 2020.

This session, Ensuring Quality Generics: A Discussion with Katherine Eban, author of Bottle of Lies, moderated by Dan Hartman, MD, will be an engaging and highly interactive session with plenty of opportunities for ASCPT meeting attendees to ask questions. Get ready for this lively session by reading the book before the Annual Meeting!

Katherine Eban, an investigative journalist, is a Fortune magazine contributor and Andrew Carnegie fellow. Her second book, the feature of this special session, Bottle of Lies: the Inside Story of the Generic Drug Boom, was published in May 2019 by Ecco/HarperCollins. Based on a decade of reporting, the book takes readers deep into the overseas manufacturing plants where the majority of our low-cost generic medicine is made.
