New Virtual Issues Covering Pregnancy, Oncology Launch
The ASCPT Family of Journals has launched new virtual issues, collecting content within subject areas of significant interest.

CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology (PSP) has gathered published research on pregnancy into one virtual collection. Since 2012, the journal has published more than a dozen articles describing the development and application of pharmacometrics and physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models for pregnant and lactating women. Contributed by a full range of researchers in academic, industry, and regulatory agencies, these works seek to address the historical, cultural, and regulatory barriers that contribute to the imbalance between the high prevalence of medication used by pregnant and lactating women and the scarcity/absence of clinical information on the effectiveness and safety of medications in these populations.

In addition, ASCPT’s family of journals has also launched a joint-journal virtual issue that gives readers access to published works about oncology. The Oncology Innovations issue provides a tour of selected innovations in precision medicine, model-informed drug discovery and development frameworks, and the evolving clinical trial and regulatory landscape that nurture patient-focused oncology research. It also includes papers from Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Clinical and Translational Science, and PSP focusing on evolving clinical trials and the regulatory landscape.

Also of note, PSP has issued a Call for Papers to be published in a “Statistics and Pharmacometrics” themed issue launching in March 2021. The issue will focus on the intersection of statistical modeling, decision making, and pharmacometrics and provide multi-stakeholder perspectives on topics of interest to statisticians and pharmacometricians building models to support decision making in drug development and patient care.

Note: You must be logged into www.ascpt.org as a member to access CPT content. Look for "Login" or your name in the upper right-hand corner, then click Journals.
