Join ASCPT for a Special Webinar on Resilience
Although data specific to biomedical researchers or drug R&D scientists are lacking, data from other professions indicate that you can be passionate about your career and still become burned out. More than ever, at this time while the world is faced with unprecedented challenges by COVID-19, we offer a call for action to scientists and leaders to combat burnout by practicing resilience.

ASCPT invites all members to a very special webinar presentation, Staying Engaged in Your Career Without Burning Out: A Call for Action to Build Resilience, taking place at 3:00 PM ET, Thursday, October 8, 2020. The speaker, Beth Benatti Kennedy, MS, LMFT, Principal of Benatti Training & Development, brings over 25 years of experience in leadership coaching to introduce best practices for resilience. This webinar will focus on the 5 strategies and show you how to implement them to achieve greater career satisfaction and add value to your organization.

ASCPT Member-Get-a-Member Campaign
Have you heard about our updated Member-Get-a-Member Campaign? Now is a great time to share your ASCPT membership story with the many students and trainees that you support and refer them as new members during our Student/Trainee complimentary membership initiative. And we can help! Our new member recruitment toolkit is now available and contains tips and resources to help you with your outreach.

All referrals of students and trainees that you submit are eligible for the Member-Get-a-Member Campaign and count toward your total number of referrals. We highly encourage you to refer as many students and trainees as possible to help strengthen the future of clinical pharmacology and translational science and to increase your chances of winning the distinction of Top Member Advocate.

Visit the Member-Get-a-Member Campaign guide to learn more about how you can submit your membership referrals, promote ASCPT’s complimentary student/trainee membership initiative, and access to our new recruitment toolkit. You can also contact the Membership Team at members@ascpt.org for assistance.

ASCPT Journal Family Launches Joint Virtual Oncology Issue and CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology to Receive an Impact Factor
Exciting things are happening within the ASCPT Family of Journals, including the launch a joint-virtual issue on oncology therapeutics and the announcement that CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology will receive its first Impact Factor.

In recent years, oncology therapeutics have been transformed by an improved understanding of cancer biology fueled by the ability to harness multidimensional population data and the diversification of therapeutic modalities in biotechnology. Building on the September 2020 issue of Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, which focused on oncology, the ASCPT Family of Journals has launched a joint-virtual issue on the subject.

The issue, which can be accessed here, provides a tour of selected innovations in precision medicine, model-informed drug discovery and development frameworks, and the evolving clinical trial and regulatory landscape that have nurtured patient-focused research, development, and clinical practice.

ASCPT is also delighted that CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology (PSP) has been accepted into Clarivate Analytics’ Science Citation Index Expanded and will receive its first impact factor in June 2021. Credit and congratulations go to the PSP editorial team and Editorial Board members whose time shepherding manuscripts through the review process, thoughtful feedback to authors, and submitted papers have made this goal possible. This news is only expected to increase the number of top-notch submissions to the journal and cement its status as a leader in the field.
