What was your favorite part about attending the Annual Meeting?
During my poster session, I effectively conveyed my research to fellow colleagues, building valuable connections with numerous clinical pharmacologists. Of particular interest was the application of AI/ML in the realms of clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics, which sparked engaging discussions.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
Receiving the Presidential Trainee Award was one of my most exciting achievements. It represents the acknowledgment of my efforts in integrating AI/ML methodologies into clinical pharmacology development—a pivotal contribution aligned with the merging trend shaping the future of drug discovery and development.
Who has inspired you in your career?
Dr. Robert Straka, my PhD advisor, holds a significant place as a role model in my career trajectory. Dr. Straka is an open-minded mentor with the exemplary qualities of exceptional communication skills and sharp critical thinking skills in scientific reasoning that have profoundly influenced me. I am deeply grateful for his support, which has played an instrumental role in shaping me both professionally and personally.
What has been the greatest challenge in your career?
My most significant challenge has been navigating the non-linear path I have taken in my PhD journey. Despite majoring in clinical pharmacology, I have ventured into other research areas by incorporating diverse datasets, such as omics data and real-world evidence from electronic health records, into conventional pharmacological analyses. This endeavor demands constant pursuit of training and mentorship opportunities to acquire the knowledge and skills to conduct novel research in this field.
When you are not working, how do you spend your free time?
I like to explore cities and take photos with my 30-year-old film camera.
