CALL FOR PAPERS

Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (CPT) is seeking submissions for its upcoming special themed issue on "Innovations in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics," scheduled for publication in December 2025.

This issue aims to showcase groundbreaking scientific advances and innovations that are shaping the field of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics. From emerging technologies to global regulatory approaches paving the way for transformative therapeutic innovations, the issue will highlight the diversity and interdisciplinary nature of innovation in clinical pharmacology. By bringing together contributions from researchers and practitioners across the globe, this special issue seeks to provide a comprehensive view of how clinical pharmacology is evolving to meet current and future challenges.

We welcome submissions on a variety of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Applications of technological and methodological innovations in pharmacometric modeling, systems medicine and data science approaches, systems medicine
  • Advancements in patient-focused clinical research, such as data collection with decentralized clinical trials, and strategies for incorporating the patient voice in pharmaceutical research and development
  • Cutting-edge technologies and discoveries, including organ-on-a-chip, digital twins, transporters, biomarker research, digital health, and companion diagnostics
  • Emerging therapeutics, such as mRNA therapeutics, CRISPR, cell therapies, regenerative medicine, and microbiome-based therapies.
  • Novel approaches in treating an unmet medical need across therapeutic areas
  • Innovations in specialized areas such as pediatric, neonatal, and maternal-fetal pharmacology, and precision medicine applications.
  • Perspectives on the evolution of regulatory frameworks globally.
  • Strategies for improving access to medicines, shortening drug development timelines, and fostering early decision-making.
  • Research and development journeys of recently launched first-in-class medicines

Submissions of original research are particularly encouraged, but reviews, position/white papers or shorter perspectives are also welcome. Educational, tutorial-style papers will also be considered. In the cover letter of your submission, please state that you are responding to this Call for Papers.
