Membership Frequently Asked Questions

I am a current ASCPT member, but it’s my first time logging in to the new website. What do I do?
Go to the Account Activation page, where you have two choices. You can enter your member number, first name and last name. Once you do so, you will be prompted to create a user name and password. You can also search for an existing account using your email address and have a link to use to activate your account emailed to you.

Do not create a new account - it's important to activate your account so that you can access YOUR information in ASCPT's system.


I am trying to log in but I do not remember my log in and password. What do I do?
Please use the Forgot Password link in the ASCPT Sign In box on the top right of the website. It will prompt you to enter you user name or email address and an email will be sent to the primary email address on file with your user name and password. You must have activated your account for this to work.

If it is your first time logging into ascpt.org, you can search for an existing account on the Account Activation page using your email address. Contact Member Services if you need further assistance.


How do I pay my dues? 
Log in as a member and click on Renew Membership (on the left side of the screen).
Review your information, select Scientific Sections and any professional affiliations.
Click Submit and Pay.
Review your total and click Proceed to Check Out.
Enter your credit card information and click Submit.


How do I get a receipt?
When you pay your dues online, your receipt will appear as a confirmation page. Please print this page. If you need another copy or did not receive a confirmation receipt, please contact Member Services at members@ascpt.org or +1-703-836-6981.

How do I update my address information? 
Log in to ascpt.org and click on the Profile link (on the left side of the screen).
Use the Name tab to update your name, degree/s, organization or change your password.
Use the Address and Phone/Email tabs to update or add contact information.
You can also update your demographics and choose Networks and Communitties (members only).
You may also send an email with your new contact information to members@ascpt.org.


My membership lapsed a few years ago. How do I re-activate my membership?
If your membership lapsed less than six months ago, you may log in to the ASCPT website and renew online. If your membership lapsed more than six months ago, please contact Member Services at members@ascpt.org or +1-703-836-6981 to renew. Members who have lapsed for more than three years will need to re-apply as new members and submit a new CV.

How do I apply for ASCPT membership?
You may apply for membership by filling out the online application or using our fillable application and e-mailing or faxing it to ASCPT. You will need to submit a current copy of your curriculum vitae along with your application. In order to join online, you will need to activate or create your account on ascpt.org.

I do not live in the United States. Can I still become a member of ASCPT?
Nearly one-quarter of ASCPT's members live and work outside the United States, and ASCPT welcomes all individuals with an interest in clinical pharmacology.  Please note that all payments to ASCPT must be made in U.S. Dollars.

How long does it take to process my membership application?
We review membership applications on a regular basis. All materials (application and curriculum vitae) must be received in order for applications to be reviewed. Once an application is approved by the CEO and payment is received, the member is entered into our system and sent welcome materials.

I’ve graduated or completed my fellowship program. How do I upgrade my membership to Full membership?
You may upgrade your membership by submitting payment and sending a current copy of your curriculum vitae to Member Services at members@ascpt.org or faxing it to +1-703-836-5223. We will review it and contact you regarding your eligibility for a new membership category.

I am missing issues of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. What do I do?
Please contact Member Services at members@ascpt.org or +1-703-836-6981 to confirm your address and troubleshoot CPT delivery issues. All members may read the current issue of CPT, plus over 30 years of archived issues, online, by following the "CPT" tab at the top of this webpage.

How can I find contact information for a member of ASCPT? 
Members have access to the online member directory. You can search by name, organization, location, email or Scientific Section. Click on the magnifying glass icon to expand a member’s information.
