The ASCPT Scientific Program Committee met a couple of weeks ago to finalize the program for the 2019 Annual Meeting with the theme “From Molecule to Patient." It will be no surprise that quantitative, model-based approaches will be a main feature in various sessions. We would like to encourage readers of PSP to participate in the meeting by submitting abstracts of their latest work or by attending one of the two offered Pre-Conferences, which will take place on March 13th 2019:

  • Advancing QSP Toward Predictive Drug Development: From Targets to Treatments
  • PBPK Modeling for the Development and Approval of Locally Acting Products

These Pre-Conferences will no doubt be very popular, so be sure to register early, as seats will be limited.

Abstract submissions are now being accepted, don’t miss the September 6, 2018, 4:00 PM EDT deadline. Both Pre-Conferences will have poster sessions, giving presenters the opportunity to present their QSP and PBPK work to a select audience first, and then again to the wider audience at the general meeting. You may indicate your interest in having your abstract considered for presentation at a Pre-Conference during the regular submission process for the full ASCPT conference. Additionally, one poster presented at the QSP Pre-Conference will be selected to receive the PSP Poster Award!

PSP is also compiling a special issue with contributions focused on topics from these two Pre-Conferences. This is a great, high-profile opportunity to publish your work alongside the best in the field, so think about submitting.

Mark March 13-16, 2019, in your calendar now for the 2019 Annual Meeting and the QSP and PBPK Pre-Conferences, and submit your abstracts before the deadline. We look forward seeing you in Washington, DC in March 2019!
