ASCPT 2019 Preliminary Program

Christine Kothe, MD, Research Physician, Clinical Pharmacology Unit, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Merksem, Belgium

After a 25‐year career in clinical internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Kothe started working for Janssen Pharmaceutical as a Research Physician working in their Clinical Pharmacology Unit. In order to enhance her knowledge of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics, her Medical Director recommended that she become a member of ASCPT. Her aspirations in joining ASCPT are to be part of a community of highly skilled colleagues who work on contributing to the development of innovative medicine. Her main interest lies in the goal to be a bridge builder between Pharma and Clinicians worldwide. She dreams of contributing to a world without disease.

Dr. Kothe explains that the European Union has started to support the Innovative Medicine Initiative – Transbioline Project. Janssen Pharmaceuticals is part of this consortium. Now that Dr. Kothe has joined her team at Janssen, they will be working on projects that will research new biomarkers both for early disease detection and medicine development.
