The ASCPT Journal Family Thanks our Inaugural Editors-in-Training and Announces a New Special Issue
Please join the ASCPT Journal Family in thanking our inaugural editors-in-training, then check out the newest special issue from CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology.
Adjusted Open Access Fees for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics and Clinical and Translational Science
Working with our publisher Wiley, we have determined the need to adjust our Open Access (OA) publication fees, known as Article Processing Charges (APCs), for
Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics and
Clinical and Translational Science. The APC fee for
CPT has remained unchanged for 10 years. The APC for
CTS has remained unchanged for five years.
Effective Friday, December 4, 2020, there will be a small increase in OA fees for
CPT and
CTS. The Board of Directors of the Society conducted a thorough review of OA fees among comparable journals in the marketplace. Historically, ASCPT’s journals have been underpriced in the market. This adjustment brings
CPT and
CTS closer to appropriate pricing, while continuing to offer ASCPT members a significant discount to publish OA in the ASCPT Family of Journals.
Thank You to ASCPT’s First Editors-in-Training
Join us in recognizing and thanking the first five members to complete ASCPT’s Editor-in-Training (EIT) program! Launched in 2019, the EIT program established a unique opportunity for early career scientists to be a part of the core editorial teams of
Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (
CPT),
CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology (
PSP), and
Clinical and Translational Science (
CTS). Participating EITs were involved in the day-to-day manuscript consideration process – including peer-review and decision-making as well as assisting with strategic planning – and had the chance to be mentored by experienced members of the journals’ editorial leaderships. They also assisted with social media strategy for the journals and engaged with the ASCPT Early Career Community.
“Serving as an Editor-in-Training to
CPT was a great opportunity that I truly enjoyed, and I can describe it in one word, which is ‘
FUN,’” said Mohamed Shahin. “FUN because I truly enjoyed working with the
Fabulous
CPT editorial team, who provided me with
Unconditional support and
Notable experience that enriched my knowledge. Thank you to all members of the
CPT Editorial team for the incredible opportunity and great experience I gained while serving as an Editor-in-Training to
CPT.”
We applaud Emily Cicali, PharmD, and Mohamed, PhD, (
CPT), Daniel Rosenbloom, PhD, (
PSP), and Sonal Singh, PhD, and Brian Ferslew, PharmD, PhD, (
CTS) for their time and dedication in working to establish the EIT program as a successful initiative for the ASCPT family of journals. Their hard work and innovative ideas have helped strengthen the program and laid a solid foundation on which the 2021 class of EITs can continue to grow this unique opportunity for Early Career members.
A New Special Issue of PSP
Be sure to check out the latest special issue from
CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology (
PSP)! Although the global COVID-19 pandemic led to the necessary decision to move the World Conference on Pharmacometrics (WCoP) to 2022, PSP has published the abstracts that would have been presented as part of the 2020 meeting in Cape Town, South Africa.
“I realized that many authors would not want to wait so long to share their research with the wider world,” said
PSP Editor-in-Chief France Mentré. “I hope you will find their research of interest, as I do. It makes me wish even more that we could have had a chance to speak with all of these authors directly, and even more anxious to join everyone for WCoP March 29 to April 1, 2022, in Cape Town, South Africa.”
The 2020 WCoP abstracts are available
