ASCPT Celebrates Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Throughout May, and every day, ASCPT recognizes and celebrates the myriad contributions of our Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) members! Our Society thrives on a diverse array of backgrounds and viewpoints, and the important contributions of our AAPI membership have helped make ASCPT a dynamic force of scientific inquiry and advancement within our field.

“ASCPT is my professional family where I learn, grow, and give back in a very fostering environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion,” said Dr. Jing Liu, Senior Director, Clinical Pharmacology, Global Product Development, Pfizer. “There is great AAPI member representation at the Member level and Community and Network leader levels. I hope to see more consistent AAPI member representation at the Board level, and collaborations with similar societies in Asia.”

The Board, Leadership, and Staff of ASCPT are dedicated not only to continuing to diversify the membership and leadership of the Society, but also to increasing the value of membership for all by cultivating an inclusive environment and creating equal opportunities for all members.

It has served as a catalyst for innovation and has brought together clinical pharmacology professionals from diverse backgrounds with a shared purpose of translating biomedical discoveries to future medicines,” said Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Director, Takeda Pharmaceuticals. “Aligned with ASCPT’s vision of enhancing diversity and inclusion, it will be useful to broaden the Society’s reach to developing parts of the world.”
