Complete the ASCPT 2023 Annual Meeting Evaluation
If you attended the 2023 Annual Meeting, ASCPT wants your feedback on your conference experience, and we want all members to be thinking about how they can contribute to 2024.

The evaluation will be available through Monday, April 24, 2023. Attendees may opt to be emailed a certificate of attendance upon completion of the evaluation. Your feedback is important to ASCPT and will be used to design future Annual Meetings.

ASCPT is now focused on creating a 2024 Annual Meeting experience that best fits the needs of our members. Members are encouraged to start thinking about novel session types that can be submitted that fit the theme of New Horizons for Global Outreach. The goal of the meeting will be to address the scientific challenge of how we can collectively and successfully disseminate, communicate, and implement innovative or best practice approaches related to clinical pharmacology and translational medicine to ensure safe, effective treatment for individuals across the globe. Start creating your proposal now and watch for the official announcement that the call for proposals later this month!

Welcome Dr. Liewei Wang to CTS!
Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) is pleased to announce that Liewei Wang, MD, PhD, has joined its editorial team as Associate Editor.

Dr. Wang serves as Professor of Pharmacology and Chair of the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at Mayo Clinic as well as the Director of the Pharmacogenomics Program for the Mayo Center for Individualized Medicine. During her more than 25-year career, she has been responsible for developing a research program focusing on the use of high throughput omics technology joined with a cell-based model system consisting of 300 lymphoblastoid cell lines and breast/prostate cancer cell panels to study mechanisms of cancer biology and therapy. Dr. Wang has also explored applying functional genomic studies related to clinical translational studies to better understand resistance mechanisms underlying responses to drug therapy, work which helped identify and understand biomarkers associated with clinical response to endocrine therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy. Currently, she is also leading a program that develops patient derived xenografts and applies these models for drug screening and mechanistic studies. We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Wang to the CTS team!

Of course, a new addition to the team often means saying goodbye to a valued member. We wish to thank Kari Morrissey, PhD, for her exemplary service to CTS. She has contributed greatly to the journal’s success in her time as Associate Editor, and her work ethic and insights will be greatly missed. Kari, we’re sad to see you go! We greatly appreciate everything you’ve done for CTS!
