What excites you about serving in your role as the Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacometrics (PMK) Community Vice Chair?
I am excited about the prospect of actively contributing to our Community's growth and dynamism, boosting innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration in our field while continuously learning from its diverse and talented members.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
Being recognized as an expert and innovator in our field.
What is the most important leadership lesson you have learned the hard way?
Listen, listen, and listen.
Who has inspired you in your career?
My parents have been the primary source of inspiration throughout my career. Their dedication to looking into the future “ad maiora” and always striving for greater achievements with the belief that “where there's a will, there's a way” has been instrumental in shaping my personal and professional path.
What has been the greatest challenge in your career?
Having the courage to innovate and change the status quo despite initial skepticism and prejudice.
When you are not working, how do you spend your free time?
I love to spend my free time with my husband and two daughters, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories together. We cherish the joy of discovering new cultures, trying different cuisines, and experiencing new landscapes, immersing ourselves in the beauty and diversity of the world.
How do you keep focused and motivated?
My passion in working for the good and improving lives of people keeps me committed even when everything seems to fall apart, and the drive to constantly improve and learn propels me forward in my goals and makes me feel in a mission.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I have been a European gold medalist with the Italian National Volleyball Team!
Dr Terranova has been a member of ASCPT since 2020.
