New Calls for Papers from the ASCPT Journal Family
Are you working on pharmacoepidemiology research or research on the impact of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) on advancing clinical pharmacology? The Journal Family is a great fit for your research! Both Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) and Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (CPT) recently launched Calls for Papers within these areas.

CTS is accepting submissions that explore or contribute to the knowledge base of DEI issues in clinical pharmacology, including but not limited to: representation and participation; workforce diversity and inclusion; ethical and social implications; inclusive research practices; and original research focused on diverse populations. Submissions are being considered through the end of the year. More details are available here.

CTS is also accepting submissions for the AI/ML special collection through July 15, so hurry and submit your research today! (Contact Alethea Gerding, alethea@ascpt.org to inquire about an extension).

CPT is also accepting submissions for a special themed issue. Publishing in April 2025, this issue will highlight the opportunities and challenges at the intersection of drug development, population health and economic evaluation under the title, “Bench to Budget: Streamlining the Full Spectrum of Evidence Integration to Enhance Efficiency and Impact of Drug-Development and Patient Access.” Submissions for this issue must be received by September 30, 2024.

If you have questions about these calls for papers, we encourage you to contact Managing Editor Alethea Gerding at alethea@ascpt.org.

Member Leaders Wanted
Are you an ASCPT member who wants to help the Society meet its strategic goals?  Then maybe it’s time to think about Board Service.

ASCPT is truly member-led. ASCPT is looking for member volunteers who can share their thoughts and ideas and work together to keep ASCPT thriving! Board service is an opportunity to lead in a premier scientific organization, but it is also an opportunity to learn and collaborate with new people.

Think about your ASCPT experiences and what your strengths are. Think about whether you are ready to take another step in your leadership journey. Think about how you can best represent your colleagues and peers. If it’s Board service, then submit your nomination!

This year, the Board is filling the following positions: President-Elect, Treasurer, two (2) At-Large Directors, and one (1) Student/Trainee member.  More information is available on our website. If you have any questions, please contact megan@ascpt.org.
