What does being a 2025 Presidential Trainee mean to you?
It is an award that reflects both recognition of my work and a commitment to continued professional growth. It has served as motivation—affirming that I am making meaningful progress—and as a reminder to keep pursuing the bedside application of the science of clinical pharmacology.
What was your favorite part of attending the Annual Meeting?
Connecting with researchers and clinicians from diverse backgrounds and gaining new insights into current developments in the field—it was truly exciting!
Who has inspired you in your career?
Every faculty member at the University of Maryland Center for Translational Medicine has inspired me. Guiding me to work independently and shaping my thoughts about a problem and how to use data to do the best for patients while upholding the standards of quality science will definitely stick with me for a long time.
Do you have a favorite tip or trick for clinical practice or research that you want to share with fellow members?
Document and reflect on your process—it streamlines troubleshooting and supports reproducibility.
How do you keep focused and motivated?
I set small, clear goals that align with my long-term vision. Most importantly, I try to block out discouragements and stay committed to giving my best effort.
