Mayo Clinic Center for Regenerative Medicine Director to Receive Henry W. Elliott Distinguished Service Award

Alexandria, VA (March 2, 2011) – Andre Terzic, MD, PhD, has been selected by the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) as the 2011 Henry W. Elliott Distinguished Service Award recipient.

The award honors individuals who have made remarkable contributions of time and talent to ASCPT. It was established in 1979 to acknowledge extraordinary members and encourage a culture of leadership and involvement.

ASCPT will present the award to Dr. Terzic on March 2, 2011, following the opening session of its 112th Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Terzic is the Marriott Family Professor in Cardiovascular Diseases Research, Director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine and Professor of Medicine, Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at the Mayo Clinic. As a longstanding member of the Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics editorial team and past president of ASCPT, he is an exemplary member whose expertise and insight have proven invaluable to the Society. Dr. Terzic’s research on cardioprotective and cardioregenerative medicine has been widely published. He is a recognized educator and leader in the fields of medicine, cardiology and clinical pharmacology.
