2026 Call for Proposals
Submissions: Opens Monday, May 4, 2026, at 8 am

The ASCPT Annual Meeting is your chance to share groundbreaking research, innovative methodologies, and best practices to drive the field forward. The deadline to submit is Thursday, June 11, 2026, 4:00 PM ET.

ASCPT 2027 THEME: TRANSLATING MOLECULES TO MEDICINE

This year’s theme, Translating Molecules to Medicine, highlights the essential role of clinical pharmacology in advancing the discovery and development of new molecules and transforming them into effective therapeutics. Clinical pharmacology not only deepens our understanding, optimization, and evaluation of therapeutic candidates but also enables their successful translation into meaningful treatments that benefit all patients.

  • Application of clinical pharmacology principles across the entire pipeline
  • Demonstrates how molecules become safe, effective, precisely dosed medicines
  • Highlights the role of quantitative, mechanistic, and translational thinking
  • Advances patient-centered precision therapeutics

From pioneering discoveries to real-world applications, the ASCPT 2027 Annual Meeting is the premier gathering for professionals dedicated to transforming scientific insights into therapeutic breakthroughs and impacting patients around the world.

WHY SUBMIT TO ASCPT 2027?

The ASCPT Annual Meeting is more than a traditional scientific conference; it is the leading forum for advancing cutting-edge clinical pharmacology and translational science. It’s where significant breakthroughs are introduced, collaborative ideas take shape, and scientific innovation is translated into meaningful patient impact. Distinguished by its dynamic and interactive session formats, the Meeting fosters substantive dialogue and active engagement, ensuring that your research is not only presented but fully experienced.

Design a Session That Stands Out!
Successful proposals will:

  • Feature interactive discussions on emerging scientific and policy topics that align with the 2027 Annual Meeting theme.
  • Appeal to a broad audience while amplifying the voice of the patient.
  • Ensure speaker diversity across career experience, work settings, gender, and ethnicity.
    • First-time speakers at the conference are encouraged.
  • Present a clear, compelling session title that reflects the content and engages attendees.
  • Provide learning objectives that help attendees understand what they will learn and be able to do after the session.
  • Clearly describe what problem or need within the field the session will respond to, what the audience should take away, and potential avenues for application.
  • Provide a well-structured session flow that includes operational details.
  • When appropriate, integrate perspectives from multiple stakeholders, including patients and patient advocates.

Proposals that include early-career scientists, diverse speaker panels, cross-Community collaborations, or align with the new session categories will receive increased attention from the Scientific Program Committee (SPC).

Session Formats to Maximize Engagement & Influence
Focused Workshops (4 Hours)
An extended format designed for hands-on learning, practical applications, and expert-led discussions. Perfect for skill-building, methodology demonstrations, or interactive case studies that require extended engagement.

Deep Dives (2 Hours)
Tackle complex topics with the time they deserve. These sessions allow for rich discussion, thorough Q&A, and the opportunity to explore challenges and solutions in depth. Proposals should focus on a clearly defined challenge and use the extended time to go beyond a didactic presentation of the topic and provide a multidimensional perspective showing how to approach, analyze, and act on it in practice.

Interactive Sessions (1 Hour)
Whether it’s a point/counterpoint debate, a live crowdsourcing activity, or an intimate fireside chat, these sessions are designed to ignite discussion, challenge perspectives, and drive real engagement.

Discovery Sessions (1 Hour)
Showcase your research in a high-energy, interactive format. With at least 15 minutes reserved for audience interaction, Discovery Sessions encourage meaningful discussion and fresh perspectives.

Flash Talks (30 Minutes)
Inspired by TED Talks, these high-impact, no-slides presentations distill big ideas into compelling, concise narratives. Challenge conventional thinking, inspire new directions, and leave your audience wanting more.

Joint Programming Opportunities
Interested in a joint session between ASCPT and another organization? Contact ASCPT staff before submitting your proposal.

Speaker & Chair Guidelines

  • Sessions may have one or two chairs, who must be ASCPT members at the time of submission and presentation.
  • Trainee/student members must partner with a full ASCPT member as a co-chair.
  • Honorary co-chair appointments are not permitted.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Commitment
ASCPT believes that the advancement of science depends on diverse voices and viewpoints. The SPC will ensure that all speaker panels reflect diversity in gender, ethnicity, work setting, and career experience. Single-gender panels are discouraged.

Non-Member Speaker Participation
Non-member speakers will receive a one-day registration to attend and present at their session.

Please note that ASCPT will no longer provide travel reimbursement for non-member speakers. This change aligns with industry standards and ensures we can continue delivering a high-quality, impactful meeting experience while maximizing resources to support our scientific programming and member engagement.

Proposal Submission & Review Process

  • All proposals must be submitted via the ASCPT online submission system.
  • Incomplete or non-compliant proposals will not be reviewed.
  • The SPC reserves the right to revise proposals as needed to ensure a well-rounded, high-quality program.
  • ASCPT Networks and Communities will review and prioritize proposals for competitive peer review and selection by the SPC.

For scientific or programming questions, and guidance or support in preparing your submissions, contact the relevant Network or Community Chair. Operational inquiries can be directed to meetings@ascpt.org.

Audiovisual & Technical Support
ASCPT will provide:

  • One LCD screen with a projector
  • One PC laptop
  • Podium microphone, laser pointer, and head table for speakers

Additional AV requests (alternative stage set-ups, polling capabilities, etc.) must be detailed in the proposal for budget consideration. Requests made after submission will not be accepted.

Ready to Submit?

This is your opportunity to establish yourself as a leading voice in clinical pharmacology and translational science. Submit by Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM ET and take your place among the trailblazers and thought leaders shaping the future of medicine.

If you have questions about session proposals or the submission process, please email meetings@ascpt.org.
