The Editor-in-Chief Search Committee (ESC) seeks applications for the next Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics when Piet H. van der Graaf, PhD, PharmD, completes his term in 2025. The latest start date for the new editorial team to be responsible for all editorial decisions for the journal is January 1, 2026. CPT is the flagship journal of the ASCPT, with an Impact Factor of 6.3. It is the authoritative cross-disciplinary journal in translational and clinical medicine devoted to publishing advances in the nature, action, efficacy, and evaluation of therapeutics. Applications are due no later than November 15, 2024. Interviews will be held virtually in early 2025 and the expectation is that new manuscripts will be reviewed by the new editorial team no later than September 2025, with the new EIC taking the reins fully no later than January 1, 2026.

The Editor-in-Chief is currently supported by a Deputy Editor-in-Chief, 12 Associate Editors, 1 Statistical Consultant, two Editors-in-Training, an international Editorial Board of 78 Members, a full editorial staff at the Society, and the Publisher, Wiley. ASCPT is seeking an individual with a strong record of research and publication to guide CPT’s development over the next 5 – 10 years. The successful applicant will demonstrate a clear strategic vision for the journal, a commitment to working collaboratively with the Society and with the Editors of sister journals CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology (PSP) and Clinical and Translational Science (CTS), a strong commitment to upholding standards of excellence in peer review and to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of the journal, and significant editorial experience. Applicants must be members in good standing of ASCPT.
