ASCPT Central is an online community for members to facilitate discussions, share resources, network, and collaborate. It is a mobile-responsive site available through any browser.
How to Access ASCPT Central:
- Navigate to: https://central.ascpt.org/home.
- Click the Log In button at the top right.
- Use your member login credentials you use at the ASCPT website to gain access
How to Add or Remove Communities That You Are Affiliated With:
Navigate to your member profile:
https://www.ascpt.org/Member-Services/Member-Tools/Profile-Update.
- Scroll to the bottom to find the “Networks and Communities” and “Identity Groups” sections.
- Select any you wish to add access to on ASCPT Central; deselect any you currently have access to that you would like to remove.
- Hit the “Update Profile” button at the bottom right and navigate back to ASCPT Central per the instructions above.

Yes, and you have full control over the frequency with which you receive updates:
- Real time: sends an email every time a new message is posted in the community.
- Daily digest: sends you one email each day, consolidating all the messages and posts from the previous day.
- No email: you will receive no emails, but are still a part of your communities and can keep up with activity by logging into ASCPT Central.
Note that if you are a part of multiple communities and opt into Daily Digest or Real Time emails, you will receive individual emails from each community.
- Log in to ASCPT Central.
- Click on your profile circle (located in the top right corner) and select “Profile.”
- Find the “Actions” drop down below your profile information on the left and click “Change Image.”
- Select a file from your device to upload as your profile photo.
- Crop the image to your liking and click save.
- Click the upload button to finalize making your selected photo your profile photo.
Yes, simply select the option to Reply to Thread via Email from your Digest email.
You can post new discussion threads and respond to existing threads. The discussion board is an important place to discuss opinions, questions, research – anything you can think of!
- Click the create button next to your profile photo.
- Select “Discussion Thread.”
- Select which community where you would like to post the discussion.
- Add a subject.
- Add your discussion.
- Select “Post” or “Schedule” if you would like for your discussion to post at a later date.
- Access the Discussion Thread as described above.
- Select the Thread where you would like to respond.
- You can reply publicly or privately; replying privately will send a direct message to the poster, while replying publicly will be viewed by all in the community.
The Library is a place to store resources and other important documents. Resources posted in the Library are available to all members within that community.
Yes, you can share resources in any Library of Communities with which you are affiliated. The Library should always correspond with the Community name to ensure you are posting to your desired Community. The Folder will depend on how the Library is organized within the Community.
There are a few Entry types:
- Copyright Licensed File(s).
- Hyperlink: Any link of your choice, with your description.
- Standard File Upload: The most common choice and will support Word docs, PDFs, etc.
- Webinar: Upload a webinar, list the presenters, and provide other details
- YouTube video.
Once you choose your Entry Type, you must select “Next” to upload and then “Finish” to post to the Library.
If you are a member of ASCPT, you have a community profile. This allows other members to search for you directly if they would like to connect and network with you.
Once searching for a colleague in the Directory per the above instructions, click the “Send Message” button. You can add a subject line and a message that will go directly to their inbox. You also can “Add as Contact” or “Remove Contact” depending on whether or not you are already connected.
From your profile, you can view “My Inbox.” Click the button to see any messages you have received or “Add Contact” requests from colleagues.
Click on your user image in the top right corner and click “Profile.” Here you can add your profile photo, update your “About Me” section, add social media information, and more. Note, some information cannot be changed in ASCPT Central and is controlled by your profile on your Member Dashboard at the ASCPT website.
