Happenings with the ASCPT Journal Family
Impact Factors, Journal Review Clubs, and blog posts! The ASCPT Journal Family has everything you need to stay in the know.

Congratulations to Clinical and Translational Science!
The 2017 Journal Citation Reports, which produces the widely known Journal Impact Factor, was recently released. As an official ASCPT journal, and under the editorial leadership of John A. Wagner, MD, PhD, the 2017 Impact Factor for CTS more than doubled to 1.954! A hearty congratulations to all involved in the journal’s success: the Editorial Team, Editorial Board, and our member authors!

Register for the Next ASCPT Journal Review Club!
We are pleased to announce that another virtual Journal Review Club session will be held on Thursday, August 9th at 12:00 PM EDT. Geared towards members in the first few years of their career or who would like to learn more about peer review, this interactive session will include an engaged discussion on the recently published article Sorafenib Dose Recommendation in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Based on Exposure‐FLT3 Relationship. Take this opportunity to learn directly from authors Vijay Ivaturi and Michelle A. Rudek about the impact and importance of peer-review.

Can you see what our reviewers saw? Participants will receive a copy of the article as it was submitted to the journal and will come to the session prepared with their own comments on the manuscript. The session will discuss potential issues discovered by the participants, examine how the authors addressed the reviewer comments, and answer questions you’ve been wondering about how peer review works from the Editor’s perspective.
