What has been the greatest challenge in your career?
The most significant challenge in my career as a clinical pharmacometrician revolves around discerning the most pertinent clinical questions and effectively translating the insights gleaned from modeling and simulation into actionable recommendations that bolster decision-making within clinical settings.

What was your childhood dream job?
My childhood dream job was to be a movie projectionist. When I was a child, I lived in a city where a movie truck would swing by every month, treating me to open-air movie nights. The idea of being the person operating the projector on that truck, bringing happiness to everyone, and watching movies every day, captured my imagination.

When you are not working, how do you spend your free time?
During my free time, I enjoy city walking, going to the gym, or simply bringing a pack of oats to feed mallards in the park.

How do you keep focused and motivated?
In my experience, staying focused and motivated is about pursuing what truly captivates my interest. As a clinical pharmacologist and pharmacometrician, I have found immense fulfillment in solving clinical problems using modeling and simulation techniques. Working as a PhD student in academia allows me the freedom to explore research areas that genuinely excite me. When passion drives your work, maintaining focus and motivation comes naturally.

Dr. Wang has been a member of ASCPT since 2022.
