CALL FOR PAPERS
Clinical and Translational Science is seeking submissions for its Mechanism of Action Mini Review collection.
The world of biopharmaceuticals is ever-evolving, with groundbreaking therapeutics constantly being developed to combat a myriad of diseases. Understanding how these therapeutics work, their pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics is crucial not just for healthcare professionals but for anyone with an interest in clinical and translational science. In addition, new therapeutics work in a variety of modalities, including small molecues, antibodies, bi-specifics, RNA, gene therapy, and cell therapies. CTS’s “Mechanism of Action Mini Reviews” demystify these complex agents and modalities, from mechanism to development and regulatory journey to clinical impact.
For practitioners, pharmacists, and researchers, these mini reviews offer a concise yet comprehensive understanding of new therapeutics. For patients and the general public, they provide insights into how these drugs can manage or cure diseases, enhancing informed healthcare decisions.
The collection currently spotlights around a dozen drugs – do you have a therapeutic that deserves to be included? We welcome the submission and can’t wait to hear about the characteristics that make the drug an important part of a clinician’s treatment arsenal.
Details about the organization of this article type are available here. All published Mechanism of Action papers are here. Please address questions to Managing Editor, Alethea Gerding, alethea@ascpt.org.
