What does being a 2026 Presidential Trainee Award Recipient mean to you?
This award reflects the collective effort and dedication of our laboratory, collaborators, and patients, without which this work would not be possible. Recognition like this reinforces the importance of our research and motivates me to continue working hard.
What was the best thing about attending the ASCPT 2026 Annual Meeting?
This year's meeting was especially inspiring given the emphasis on pharmacoequity. Learning about the innovative approaches other groups are taking to advance equity in pharmacogenomics reinforced the importance of ensuring that precision medicine benefits all patient populations.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
My most meaningful professional accomplishment has been mentoring PharmD students in pharmacogenetics research. Guiding them from their first exposure to research concepts to ultimately presenting their work as a research poster. Seeing their progression and commitment has been particularly rewarding.
When you are not working, how do you spend your free time?
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time at the movie theater with my wife or reading a good book.
