What is your favorite part of being part of the LMIC Accelerator Cohort?
Being part of the LMIC Accelerator Cohort has been a transformative experience. It brings together professionals facing similar systemic challenges while providing direct access to mentorship and global expertise. This combination not only strengthens individual capacity but also empowers us to drive change in our local settings, amplifying the impact of clinical pharmacology where it is most needed.

What was the best thing about attending the ASCPT 2026 Annual Meeting?
One of the most remarkable aspects of attending the ASCPT 2026 Annual Meeting was the opportunity to connect with professionals from around the world with extensive experience who were genuinely open to knowledge exchange and collaboration. Meeting my mentor, the LMIC cohort, and the organizing team was especially meaningful. It was inspiring to learn about the impactful work being done by fellow scholars and by leading experts in clinical pharmacology globally. Presenting my poster was also a key moment for me—it allowed for valuable scientific discussion, feedback, and exchange, which enriched my perspective and reinforced my commitment to integrating clinical practice with research.

How does being a member of ASCPT help you connect with the global clinical pharmacology community?
ASCPT provides a high-level platform to engage with the global clinical pharmacology community, facilitating meaningful connections across disciplines and regions. As a clinical pharmacist working in pediatric oncology and stem cell transplantation, it allows me to stay aligned with cutting-edge science while contributing perspectives from a resource-limited setting. It supports my goal of integrating clinical practice with research, fostering collaboration, and promoting evidence-based approaches that are both rigorous and applicable to real-world settings.

When you are not working, how do you spend your free time?
Outside of work, I value activities that help me recharge and maintain balance. I enjoy spending time outdoors, engaging in sports, traveling, and connecting with nature. I also deeply value time with family and friends, as well as with my pets—two cats and a dog. These moments are essential for sustaining the energy and focus required in a demanding clinical and research environment.

How do you keep focused and motivated?
Maintaining focus and motivation in a complex healthcare environment can be challenging, especially when working with highly vulnerable pediatric patients. What consistently drives me is the direct impact of my work on patient outcomes. Keeping the patient at the center of every decision provides a strong sense of purpose. I am also motivated by continuous learning, professional growth, and the pursuit of high scientific standards, particularly through the integration of clinical care, research, and education. At the same time, I recognize the importance of taking time to disconnect, rest, and create space for clarity. These moments of balance are essential to sustain long-term motivation and to return to work with renewed focus and perspective.

Dr. Testard has been a member of ASCPT since 2025.
